Dionisio De Moya was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and raised in Santiago de los Caballeros. He started his journey with music by playing piano at the age of 8 and learning his first guitar chords at the age of 11, with his father and uncle. Dionisio studied at the “Instituto de Cultura y Arte” (ICA) where he pursued a program in Classical Guitar (2001-2004). In 2006, he started his career as a guitarist and began working with most renowned artists in Dominican Republic. In 2009, he moved to Barcelona, Spain to study at Taller de Musics where he enrolled at their Jazz and Modern Music program. Dionisio has been based in Miami Florida since 2013, where he has quickly become known by the most important groups in the area.
